but I'm home now, and things still look the same.
I think I'll leave it 'til tomorrow to unpack,
Try to forget for one more night that I'm back in my flat
On the road where the cars never stop going through the night,
To a life where I can't watch the sun set.
I don't have time.
I don't have time~

While I did say it was going to be a while, I didn't expect it to be an entire semester before I posted again.
Gah, I'm such a lazy ass. It's the last free day of my three week mid-year break, and I pretty much have nothing to show for it, save a long list of random appointments sprung on me by my mother. No finished artwork, no writing, no photos. Nothing. I've started one or two things, done a little big more on another ... but for the most part, I've pretty much slept through the last few weeks and that about it. Oh, I did draw Mark a pony cause he asked for one. I'll scan it in for you when I get back to uni.
Being home as been really quite strange. Nothing has changed - save my mother's rearranging of my room to give herself a place to study. I thought it was just on TV that parents changed their kids rooms the minute they leave. I guess not. With everyone else disappearing each day to go to work, I've kind of been left in the same position as before I started uni. Just stuck at home, by myself. Even my old friends aren't around anymore.
I think it's a little disappointing that in just half a year, all contact between the old group has just dried up. Eh, I guess it's for the best - the seven of us were getting pretty sick of the sight of each other by the end of last year. That's the bad thing about being in an Area school in the country. Eight years with the same tiny bunch of friends and things are bound to get a little tetchy.
Bleh. Uni is much for fun anyway *hugs civilisation*. It's hard to believe an entire semester has been and gone already. Five to go!! Though a normal sleep pattern has kind of gone out the window, I've been loving every minute of it. I've learnt some great stuff, done storyboarding, made an abstract comic book (huh, I forgot about that ... should I put it up?), even built a four page website, which is something I never dreamed I could do. With Dreamweaver, it's way easier than I thought. A little fiddly with getting the code right, but most of it is just picking the info you want and it does everything for you.
I'm doing two more Computer Science papers this semester, as well as Design 2, and a Screen and Media studies paper. Should be a little easier going than last semester, and as long as I stay on track, I should actually sleep some this time around.
Wishful thinking, I know, haha. I'm looking forward to coming home to Hamilton tomorrow and seeing everyone again. I miss my CGD whanau!
Love all,
~Iggy.

~I've still got sand in my shoes,
And I can't shake the thought of you.
I should get on, forget you.
But why would I want to?
I know we said goodbye,
Anything else would have been confused.
But I want to see you again~
